Jayden Okunbor arrived in East Yorkshire along with his former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs team mate Franklin Pele ahead of the 2024 Betfred Super League season.

Playing in the Canterbury-Bankstown district was not unusual for Okunbor, who had played his junior Rugby League for Milperra Colts, also in the region.

Of Nigerian and Zimbabwean descent, he possesses a strong ball-running threat and a dangerous offload ability – an awkward customer to deal with standing at 6ft 5 inches tall.

Although he started his professional career as a winger, Okunbor has made the switch to feature in the back-row, with his line-running and explosive power a real threat.

He made his Hull FC debut against Hull KR at the MKM Stadium in Round One of the 2024 Betfred Super League.
