Head coach Rob Wilson has revealed the winners of four awards for the 2019/20 campaign.

Davy Litten – Players’ Player of the Year

“Davy was recognised early by his peers as a player with a lot of ability and leadership qualities as he was elect as the team captain after only three weeks involved with the college. Since then, Davy has gone on to play in every Hull FC College game as well as getting a chance to play for Hull FC Academy against Hull KR in the pre-season friendly.”

Conner Gilbey – Clubman Award

“Conner is an integral part of the college squad, regularly starting in the centre. Conner has also helped with college open days, mascot visits and is a regular helping hand in cleaning and collecting equipment post sessions. Conner has also progressed into a Hull FC Academy trial and managed to receive a call up to the pre-season derby squad.”

Harry Trulson – Coaches’ Player of the Year

“Harry has been outstanding all season. He plays in the middle and is our biggest hitter in defence, runs great lines in attack and is a very consistent performer. He plays 80 minutes every week and hasn’t missed a single game.”

Jackson Davies-Barker & Matthew ThomasMost Improved Player Award

“I hadn’t seen Jackson play before I became the college coach, but he has always impressed me with his positive attitude. He now recognises when to run or pass and his defence is muchh improved from the start of the season.”

“Matty has really matured as a player this season. His hard work in the early morning gym sessions have really paid off as he is looking much fitter. He now realises not to dwell on errors and to channel his frustrations in a positive manner. He has the size and ability to play at a higher level if he carries on working hard at his game.”
