Following a four month break away from the training ground, players returned to action on Monday for interim head coach Andy Last to lead just his second session since taking the role before lockdown.

Preparations for the new-look 2020 Betfred Super League campaign are well underway with the squad and coaching staff, who are now in a strict ‘bubble’ to help protect and prevent them from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in good spirits with less than three weeks to go until the Black & Whites restart their season against Salford at Headingley.

Players, coaches, and the limited number of club staff able to visit the training ground are undergoing regular health checks to ensure they are free from the virus, including being tested once a week, as well as temperature checks on entry to the training ground every day, as well as further precautions including smaller training groups, less physical contact time, and reduced use of certain facilities at the venue.

Andy Last spoke to hullfc.com earlier this week following his first session since returning, explaining his excitement to be taking on the role while discussing that the enforced break has given him chance to reflect on the changes needed to be seen in the side, and reviewing the strengths and weaknesses throughout the squad.
