Josh Reynolds has said he is hoping to replicate the success of some of his fellow Australian half-backs in Super League when he takes to the field for the Black & Whites in 2021.

The likes of Jackson Hastings, Blake Austin and Aiden Seizer have all found success in the UK having made the switch from the NRL in recent years, and Reynolds says he wants to follow in their footsteps.

Speaking to hullfc.com, Reynolds said: “They’ve come over here and done really well, so I think it will suit me too.

“The conditions are wetter and that means you’ve got to kick to the corner and force the errors. That is what I’m hoping to bring to the team.”

He added: “I’m good mates with Aidan Seizer so it will be good to go up against him. I’ve spoke to him a few times already so it’ll be good to see him out there on the field.

“I was with Aidan in the Bulldogs juniors so I know him from a very long time ago.

“His Super League career has started really well and I was shocked when he couldn’t get a club back home in the NRL, Huddersfield have a good side with some great signings for this season.”

Meanwhile, Reynolds has continued to settle into life at the Black & Whites, and says the ‘Grub’ nickname is beginning to be used!

“It’s slowly coming in. I think at the start, everyone was a bit nervous to say it, but they know that I don’t really mind now!”

However, it is going to take the half-back a bit longer to get used to the Hull accent.

“I feel a bit rude sometimes because I’m always asking people to repeat themselves, even relaying the calls on the field at times but I’m getting used to it now!”
