The clash, which the Airlie Birds won 28-22 in Brett Hodgson’s first ever game in charge, was the first Rugby League match to take place at the new home of the Knights.
In an impressive first-half showing from the visitors from East Yorkshire, Adam Swift, Mahe Fonua, Carlos Tuimavave and Manu Ma’u all got their names on the scoresheet, before York fought back after the break to narrow the scoreline, with Chris Satae also picking up a try for Hull.
