Hull FC are pleased to confirm that young winger Lewis Martin has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The deal sees the 19-year old remain at the MKM Stadium until at least the end of the 2026 Betfred Super League season.

The Black & Whites have secured the services of yet another of their exciting young Hull-born talents, having announced a new contract for Davy Litten yesterday, and Logan Moy last month.

Martin has 11 senior appearances under his belt since making his professional debut in the final game of the 2023 campaign, including running out ten times for the Airlie Birds this campaign.

Martin is another success story of the club’s burgeoning Centre of Excellence youth system with the FC ranks.

The former West Hull junior, who represented the Yorkshire Origin side at Academy level, prides himself on speed and evasion and has proved to be one of the club’s most exciting and promising young talents since his debut in September.

Speaking to hullfc.com, Martin said: “I’m buzzing to commit my future to my hometown club for another two years.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given since making my debit last year, and I’m determined to keep improving and doing my part for this team.

“It’s a really exciting period to be a young player at this club. With the likes of Logan (Moy) and Davy (Litten) also committing their future here, we’ve got a core of local lads with their best years ahead of them who are going to keep improving and developing over the next few years.”

Hull FC’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, said: “Since stepping up to the first-team environment 18 months ago, Lewis has shown some real professionalism and determination to keep developing and achieving his personal goals.

“Just like with Logan and Davy, Lewis knows he isn’t the finished article yet and that there’s still plenty of years of development ahead, but he’s shown some superb early signs and we believe he’s going to be one of our exciting talents for years to come.”
