Hull FC’s U14s and U16s Girls sides are both recruiting new players to join the club’s female pathway.
The club’s Girls side form part of the club’s Female Pathway, which has gone from strength to strength over the past three years, with over 75 players currently involved across the pathway with the club’s Centre of Excellence.
Interest has grown hugely in the female side of the game over the last five years, with the club’s Women’s side making strides forward as they aim to continue to progress and develop over the coming years.
Hull FC’s U14s Girls compete in the U14s East Division, while the U16s Girls play in the U16s Premier Division, with both clubs looking to add further recruits to their sides in the second-half of the 2024 campaign and into 2025.
The success of the club’s Girls side is clear to see, with current U16s players Macie Kemp, Charlotte Sutton, Kahnye Manava-Faraimo, Olivia Turner, and Rachel Atkinson all selected to the Central Yorkshire Talent Hub Squads – the first step on the pathway to representing England.
Meanwhile, several other players have stepped up from the U16s in 2023 to the Women’s side for the 2024 season and are enjoying a stellar season, including the likes of Poppy Lyon, Ruby Ellis, and skipper Charlie Lawson – but none more so than back-rower Evie Sexton, who has scored an astonishing 15 tries in her opening six games so far this season.
