Hull FC’s Sports College have launched their Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) progammes, starting for the 2020/21 academic year.

Beginning in September, the courses which takes place on two days a week lasts a duration of two years, with the option of exiting the programme after one year while still achieving a HNC.

The course gives students the opportunity to develop knowledge in the sports industry and, just as importantly, the necessary employability skills required to be successful in their chosen career.

The programmes provide the opportunity to develop an understanding of the roles of sports development and coaching, as well as practice managerial skills and knowledge that can be applied within a variety of sports industries.

The team of lecturers delivering this programme are all experts in their field and importantly maintain their connections within the industry, including the coaching within Hull FC’s Academy pathway.

A range of guest speakers and industry visits complement the team of lecturers and further emphasises the dedication the team have in maintaining the vocational relevance of the degree programme.

Completion of the course will see learners obtain a Level 5 qualification, while also having the chance to top up the course with a further year to achieve a BA Hons in Sports Coaching.

Designed for learners aged 18+ students will also have the benefit of taking part in the Sports College Rugby League programme – part of the Black & Whites’ talent pathway, as well as making the most of various other benefits including receiving a free laptop on successful registration of the course.

The course fee is £6000, which is covered through Student Finance UK.

Applicants are reminded that Hull FC Sports College are offering unconditional places for the 2020/21 academic year due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of A-Level exams.
