Health & Wellbeing

We have a wealth of experience and passion around improving both physical and mental wellbeing.

The Hull FC Community Foundation is here to support others, helping people improve their physical and mental wellbeing, as well as giving them the tools to lead healthier and positive lifestyles.

That’s why we offer a whole host of programmes, determined to have a positive impact on our community.

Our health and wellbeing programmes are tailored towards the specific needs of members of the community, with an emphasis on educating people to make positive choices. Our friendly and supportive team are here to listen to what people need and work together to offer the best support we can.

We welcome anybody who would like to get involved in our sessions, regardless of gender, age and ability.

Check out some of the health and wellbeing programmes we offer below:

Fit4FC

Wednesday evenings (7-8pm), Allam Sports Centre

Fit4FC is a gym-based activity programme, where people can come and use high-quality equipment without paying a gym membership.

Led by Hull FC’s qualified personal trainers, classes involve gym activities, adaptable to all fitness levels.

Parkinson’s Active

Tuesday afternoons (1-2pm), Allam Sports Centre

The free Parkinson’s Active sessions entail a series of low-impact physical activites, helping those diagnosed with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, by increasing their physical and mental fitness.

At the sessions, which are run in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, there is always a range of activities, from ball games to yoga. Ultimately, the sessions are all about getting the body moving and making new social connections.

Our Best Years

Friday mornings (10.30am-12.30pm), Hull FC Community Hub, MKM Stadium

This project connects the older generation, promoting better health and social outcomes through a variation of different activities.

In partnership with Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire and Pickering & Ferens Homes, Our Best Years offers inclusive physical activity and social development opportunities such as arts & crafts, music, poetry reading, bingo, quizzes and reminiscence with ex-players. Information and advice are also available, we are here to support your needs.
