The Hull FC Community Foundation is delighted to confirm the return of its free Healthy Holidays summer holiday activity programme, run across the city of Hull.

Starting on Monday 22nd July and running every week throughout the school summer holidays, the Community Foundation will be heading here, there and everywhere across the city to deliver a series of free-to-attend activity camps.

It’s all thanks to funding received from Hull City Council through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme – a scheme funded by the Government and delivered by local councils across the summer holidays, providing healthy food and fun activities to children and young people, with free meals available for those that attend.

The coordinated activities support families and enable children to have fun and stay active while away from the classroom during their summer break.

They’re also part of the Black and Whites’ ongoing commitment to helping grow Rugby League and develop players for the future, running alongside a host of projects and programmes to engage with, educate and inspire local juniors, whilst participants will have the chance to meet members of Hull FC’s playing squad at selected camps.

During this year’s summer programme, camps will include Rugby League activities, multi-sports activities, dance & cheerleading, and Unite Girls.

Running for children between the ages of 5 and 11, further camps will also run during the summer for youngsters aged 12 and 16.

The camps are an exciting opportunity to learn and develop skills like meeting new friends, alongside a nutritious meal each day, while taking part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment

Children will have access to a packed lunch, as we encourage young people to eat healthily over the holidays, while also developing an understanding of nutrition and food budgeting for families.

Places on Hull FC’s free summer camps can be booked online here.
