2025 recruit John Asiata has been selected to represent Samoa for their upcoming test series against England.

The powerhouse forward, who will link up with the club following the test series, has been named in the side by head coach Ben Gardiner for the first time in seven years.

The 31-year has two appearances for Samoa under his belt, facing Tonga and England in 2017.

Asiata is one of three Betfred Super League players to feature in the squad, alongside Keenan Palasia (Leeds Rhinos) and Ricky Leutele (Leigh Leopards).

The squad also features the likes of NRL stars Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Jeremiah Nanai, Deine Mariner and Shawn Blore, as well as Penrith’s NRL Grand Final winners Jarome Luai and Izack Tago.

Samoa take on England in a two-match test series starting later this month, facing Shaun Wane’s side at the Brick Community Stadium in Wigan on Sunday 27th October (2.30pm) and at AMT Headingley Stadium in Leeds on Saturday 2nd November (2.30pm).
