Herman Ese’ese joined Hull FC from NRL club, The Dolphins, ahead of the 2024 Betfred Super League season, signing a three-year deal.

He is the nephew of Super League icon Ali Lauiti’iti, and Ese’ese is known for his powerful running style and hard-hitting defence.

Like fellow 2024 recruit Fa’amanu Brown, the forward has represented both New Zealand and Samoa on the international stage.

He brings a wealth of experience to East Yorkshire, with over 125 career appearances under his belt in the NRL, previously featuring for Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Brisbane Broncos, Newcastle Knights, and Gold Coast Titans.

Ese’ese made his Betfred Super League debut for the Black & Whites against Hull KR at the MKM Stadium in February 2024.
